The Winn Group Wins Two 2010 International Davey Awards

The Winn Group, Creative Media Marketing and Strategy Firm, Wins 2010 International Davey Awards

Allen, TX (November 9, 2010)- The Allen-based Winn Group is excited to announce its reception of two silver Davey Awards presented by The International Academy of the Visual Arts. The Davey Awards is an international creative award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small firms worldwide. The 2010 Davey Awards received over 4,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms, and public relations firms.

David defeated the mighty Goliath with a big idea and a little rock. The Davey Awards honors the achievement of the “Creative David’s” where strength comes from ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking, not a “Giant’s” bankroll. Great work is about fresh ideas and exceptional execution, not the biggest budgets.

The Winn Group would like to highlight our two client entries whose projects were awarded the Silver Davey. The first award was for The Plano Convention and Visitors Bureau that won with a Ben Franklin themed pop-up card. This uniquely fun and whimsical design piece was one arm of a creative advertising and promotional campaign implemented by The Winn Group. The next award was given for the creative design of Dare2Share’s UnTour poster, an edgy, urban themed promotional piece highlighting Dare2Share’s upcoming youth conferences.

Special kudos to Lance Hart, Creative Director for The Winn Group, without his tenacity and attention to creative detail, these projects wouldn’t have made it into the hands of our incredible clients.
