A hip, country girl with a heart of gold and an artistic eye, Jaynie McCloskey joins art with heart to promote the vision of organizations across the globe. Jaynie spent two years working for Gateway Church in Southlake, TX further developing her skills in a wide array of aspects of design, followed by several years designing as a freelance artist. Her primary fields of artistic expertise lie in print design, logo development, illustration, and dynamic typography used within book design.
Jaynie and her husband Steve reside in Columbus, Ohio where Jaynie is in the process of earning a degree in fine arts at Ohio State University. When we asked for an interview, she claimed to be busy studying, but a conveniently timed “fire drill” at the library got us the answers we were looking for:
1. What is your favorite color & why?
As an artist, I love all colors! But I suppose if I had to choose I would pick dark purple because it can be vibrant, rich and still sometimes blend in.
2. What is your favorite quote/saying & why?
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” -Gandhi. I always want to be motivated to do big things and take risks, and I like the underlying virtue of having the bigger picture (the world) in mind.
3. What do you like to do on your day off?
I like to find the most relaxing environment. That might mean sitting outside with a book if it’s nice, going to a coffee shop with an art magazine, or even cleaning my house to make my home that environment I’m looking for.
4. What is your favorite thing about working for The Winn Group?
Probably the fact that I can utilize my creative skills and still have a schedule that’s flexible enough for me continue my education.
5. If your clients were going to send you a present, what would you wish for?
Well, this is tricky because I always just hope that clients are getting what they wish for, but I suppose I would wish for a photo or story of their product in good use.
